How can we realize innovative solutions sustainably?

The small town of Koblevo has a lot of potential – the beach, vineyards and an estuary are some of the features of the Ukrainian coastal town. With the support of URBAN MENUS, innovative ideas were developed together with various stakeholders to make the most of these potentials. In workshops, the URBAN MENUS 3D planning tool was used to jointly develop visions for the design of a costal area. The project took place in cooperation with Advantage Austria, members of the Ukraine Kobleve Village Council and the Local Development Agency of the Kobleve United Territorial Community. It was particularly important that all participants feel part of the process and can dream with URBAN MENUS together of a new future for Koblevo.

At the final presentation at the end of March 2021, the visions that emerged during the three-month process were presented. New highlights of the city are a wellness and health centre, a hotel with conference centre, a promenade and a marina. In addition, a city walk with various thematic stations, local handicrafts and culinary offers invites visitors to discover the city.

The stakeholders agree: the project is a successful foundation for further cooperation!
